WHY I AM RUNNING

I’m running for the Virginia Senate because our communities deserve leadership grounded in real‑world experience and a deep understanding of the challenges families face every day. Too often, decisions are made without listening to the people who live with the consequences. I believe it’s time to put practical solutions ahead of political rhetoric.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked side by side with families striving to get ahead. I’ve sat at kitchen tables with parents juggling two jobs and still worrying about the rising cost of living. I’ve listened to students who aren’t asking for special treatment, just a fair chance to build a better future. These conversations stay with you, and they shape how you lead.
Across our district, families are asking the same fundamental questions:
-
Why does it keep getting harder to make ends meet?
-
Why are our schools still stretched thin and underfunded?
-
Why hasn’t our infrastructure kept up with our rapid growth?
-
Why do prescription drugs cost so much?
-
How do we make sure small businesses—the backbone of our economy—can continue to thrive?
These aren’t abstract policy debates. They’re real concerns for real people, and they demand thoughtful, common‑sense solutions. That’s why I’m committed to investing in the infrastructure we rely on every day, strengthening our public schools, supporting local businesses, and advancing economic policies that help working families succeed, not just get by.
I believe government should work for the people it serves. My goal is to bring experience, accountability, and results‑driven leadership to the Virginia Senate, always putting our community first.
